As some would say "Lets start from the top people".

About a year ago my wife and I purchased our first home. The house was nowhere near in perfect condition and for our first piece of real estate we didn't expect it to be. It was our first house, a starter house and I knew that there definitely were issues that needed to be addressed. But like most people who grow up with a father who thought they could fix anything, do anything and don't need to read directions to assemble something, I to was blessed to have a little of that philosophy rub off on me.
So off I went sanding the hardwood floors and refinishing them, ripping out all the doors and replacing them, fixing plumbing, and electrical issues, new roof, new tile floors and so on. Now your probably asking yourself what the heck does this have to do with fine woodworking. Well these "handy man" undertakings acted like an avenue which guided me into pursuing the art of fine woodworking. Some how these tasks acted as a funnel which led me into the pot of woodworking obsession.
Well here we are with a little background of how this all began and came about, we can now move forward. Things I would like to touch on in future posts are the design and process of turning a basement/garage shop into a workable area. The construction of my bench, and my first project which I'm working on right now. I hope you were able to enjoy the first post and don't hesitate to make a comment.
